Chain Repairs

Delicate chains deserve expert hands. We specialise in the repair of fine chains, restoring beauty and integrity with precision.

Chain, Clasp and Catch Repairs

From everyday wear and tear to accidental damage, we can expertly repair most solid gold styles down to 0.5mm in width, including: Belcher, Box, Curb, Rope, Spiga, Snake and more.

Please note: Hollow chains under 4mm wide can be repaired, though due to their fragile structure, they require more time and care, this is reflected in the repair cost.

Every piece is handled with the utmost respect and technical finesse, ensuring your jewellery returns as strong and beautiful as the day it was made.

Chains can wear out over time, depending on the material, construction, and how often they’re worn.

1. Friction & Movement
Constant rubbing between links causes metal fatigue.

Fine or delicate chains (like Singapore or Snake chains) are more prone to stretching or snapping.

Pendants that slide along a chain accelerate this wear.

2. Exposure to Elements
Sweat, perfume, lotions, and salt water can corrode or dull the finish.

Even precious metals like gold can thin or soften over time when alloyed with softer metals.

3. Weak Links & Clasps
The jump rings and clasp connections often fail first — especially on lighter chains.

Regular inspection helps catch early signs like bending or thinning links
